As part of our commitment to make the Majestic-Irc.Info Chat Network a great place to meet and interact with others around the world, these conduct guidelines have been established. Your commitment to these guidelines in all of your activities ensures a positive experience for all participants. User-created channels may have additional rules which govern your use in those areas. For more information, see the Channel Conduct section of this guide.
The chat is intended for individuals 13 years of age or older. Those found to be younger than 13 years old will be removed from the network. Public content on the Majetic-Irc.Info Chat Network, including nick and channel names, and other publicly visible information, must be appropriate for all ages.
Majestic-Irc.Info is not responsible for the content or activities in any of our communication services. We reserve the right to terminate/suspend your access to any of our services or delete content, without notice, found to be in violation of the code of conduct.
Network staff enforce these rules at all times. Users or content found to be in violation of these guidelines shall be dealt with accordingly.
Network Conduct
You may not use the chat to post or publish messages or other content pertaining to illegal activities of any kind.
Your IP address is subject to a proxy scan upon connecting to the chat. The hosting of botnets, drones, floodbots and/or the use of open proxies (including Tor) is not permitted. Invasions of and attacks on the chat (including its channels and users) are strictly forbidden.
You are not permitted to use the chat to collect information on user habits and personal information. This includes, but is not limited to, surveys, polls, questionnaires or any tracking devices that may be the basis of any marketing statistics, studies, graphs or demographics based on any information gathered from our general public without the prior written permission from network staff.
Sharing of copyrighted content, or methods to obtain such content is forbidden.
User Conduct
Please treat all other online participants with respect and do not use the chat to threaten, harass, stalk, or abuse other participants. Participants that experience threats, harassment or abuse from chatters should use the "ignore" feature to block these messages and are encouraged to report the chatter to network staff in #Reports. This network has server filters in place designed to help prevent cases of abusive behaviour. Some of your messages may trigger the warning system due to the broad nature of certain filters.
Impersonating any participant (including network staff and network services) is strictly forbidden. Impersonating certain public figures, such as, but not limited to, politicians and artists, may temporarily or permanently be forbidden due to general disruption.
Spam is not tolerated. Spam is defined as sending unsolicited messages to other users or channels with the intent to advertise something. This is a serious violation of online etiquette and these guidelines. Please be aware that advertising other channels and posting unsolicited web addresses or personal information is considered spamming in the majority of channels available on the chat.
You are advised not to give out any of your personal information including your age, address, e-mail address, IP address, credit card number, password(s), telephone number, social security number or any other details which can be used to identify you. This information can easily be used for illegal or harmful purposes and can have SERIOUS consequences. Please use caution when giving out such information. Sharing the fragile information of others without the prior permission of the user in case is strictly forbidden.
You are responsible for understanding and being able to control or disable all automated or manually triggered scripts with your client. Channel operators are responsible for determining which scripts may be used on their channels.
NickServ accounts are for the use of the proper registrant only. Users found to be using NickServ accounts not belonging to them will be banned. Attempting to steal or otherwise inappropriately acquire passwords of other users is forbidden and be dealt with severely.
Channel Conduct
Our official network channels are #Main, #Support, #Reports, #vHost, #Feedback, and #Abuse. We also offer the opportunity to create your own channel. All user-created channels are subject to the Channel Conduct. Apart from discussions inside the channel, this includes the channel name, topic and other publicly visible information.
The following uses of user-created channels will not be permitted:
Channels created to be used as dating services or allow dating.
Channels permitting discrimination towards any group or person.
Channels permitting or facilitating the illegal sharing of copyrighted files or malicious software.
Channels created with the purpose or intention to violate or coordinate the violation of these guidelines.
Channels that are intended to be sexually gratuitous in nature, or are found to be encouraging of such behaviour.
Channels that allow advertising (spamming) of their channel throughout the FrostWire chat network. (This includes mass invites.)
When creating a channel, please be aware that channel names, topics and other publicly visible information must be clearly appropriate for all ages.
User-created channels are permitted to enforce their own rules, however those which violate or encourage the violation of these guidelines are not permitted.
Bot Conduct
The chat allows users to run automated user-created services (bots). Please note that user-created bots are not executed through the Majestic-Irc software and are different than bots from BotServ. Bots are permitted to be run under the following conditions:
Bots may not harass or abuse other participants, either in private message or channels.
Bots may not flood channels (without the consent of channel operators) or individual participants.
Bots are prohibited to join official network channels without prior permission from network staff.
Bots are considered as participants of the chat and with no exception to other conditions stated in the guidelines. Network staff will remove (without prior notice) bots that violate these conditions. Bot operators are responsible for understanding how to disable their bots should something go awry.
Violations of The Guidelines
Violations of these guidelines may result in warnings or even server-wide bans from network staff or Majestic-Irc.Info. If you feel you have been banned from the server in error, you may e-mail admin@tweekfmradio.com; however this address deals only with server-wide bans, not channel bans. Please be sure to include important details such as your IP address, nickname, and the reason given for your ban.
Network staff may (on occasion) place in effect temporary regulations to deal with network-wide issues; these will be announced by a global broadcast message. Majestic-Irc.Info is not responsible for the content or activities in the chat network and reserves the right to ammend or change these guidelines without prior notice at any time, and encourages you to periodically review the guidelines to ensure you are in compliance.
